Sustainability Statement

As a brand, we’re deeply mindful of what we create and how we create it. The jewellery industry still has a long journey toward true sustainability, but we believe transparency is essential. Every decision we make—from materials to processes to packaging—is guided by care for our craft, our clients, and our environmental impact.

Our philosophy has always centred on crafting one-of-a-kind pieces designed to be treasured for a lifetime, rather than producing high-volume collections with a short lifespan. Below, we’ve outlined the steps we take to ensure our work reflects these values.

Our Materials

  • Where possible we use 100% recycled gold and silver.

  • Every piece of Fiona Conway jewellery is handmade in our London studio.

  • When specialist processes are required, we collaborate exclusively with UK-based suppliers.

  • We source stones responsibly, working with reputable suppliers, regularly using lab-grown diamonds, and purchasing directly from fair-trade mines.

  • For natural diamonds, we use suppliers who guarantees stones are conflict free and follow The Kimberley Process. The Kimberley Process is an established system which prevents conflict diamonds entering the mainstream rough-diamond market, complying with United Nations resolutions and in adherence to WDC SoW guidelines.

  • We are also able to incorporate clients’ own stones into bespoke designs.

GEMSTONES

  • Gemstones are sourced from reliable suppliers in Hatton Garden, London and are conflict free.

GUARANTEES AND CERTIFICATES

Collections are made from Sterling Silver (925), 9ct (375) or 18ct (750) gold and will be hallmarked according to the Hallmarking Act 1973. Individual silver (under 7.8g) and gold (under 1g) are not required to be hallmarked by law.

Our Packaging

All of our packaging is 100% recyclable, biodegradable, and plastic-free.

This includes:

• Eco kraft paper boxes and gift bags

• Eco-friendly paper bubble wrap

Delivery:

  • For international shipments, we partner with DHL, who offset emissions for each delivery.

  • Within the UK, we use Royal Mail, the major delivery service with the lowest reported carbon emissions per parcel.

We continually review and refine how we bring our pieces into the world, exploring new ways to reduce our footprint as our business grows. If you have any questions about our sustainability practices, please feel free to email studio@fionaconway.co.uk
