Jewellery Aftercare

Even though metals are generally durable, all jewellery will naturally show signs of wear over time—especially the pieces you love and use the most. Rings worn side-by-side can rub against each other, chains may break if they catch on something, and pieces can tangle or scratch if not stored properly. With a little care, however, your jewellery will remain looking beautiful for many years.

Tips to Keep Your Jewellery Looking Its Best

• Put jewellery on last when getting ready—after applying makeup, perfume, or hairspray.

• Store pieces separately in individual pouches or boxes to prevent tangling, scratching, or rubbing.

 • Remove jewellery during physical activity, washing up, swimming (pool or sea), or when using harsh chemicals to avoid unnecessary damage.

• Clean your jewellery regularly. – Use a silver or gold polishing cloth. – For hard gemstones, gently clean the back of the stones with warm soapy water and a soft brush.

• Matt-finished pieces can be refreshed by gently rubbing the surface in small circular motions with a green kitchen scourer.

If you bring any purchased pieces to the studio, we’re always happy to clean them for you.
